Your guide to Forge de Laguiole Steak Knives

Forge de Laguiole traditional wood handle table knives, are made from the finest traditional and contemporary materials. These knives are all handmade by skilled artisans in the village of Laguiole, France.

The skillfully forged blades, made from the high-quality French T12 steel which is exclusively produced for Forge de Laguiole®, guarantees an incredibly sharp, smooth cutting edge – making them the knife of choice of many of the world’s best Michelin-starred chefs. The handles made of wood, horn or bone are individually chosen, sculpted and hand shaped by Master-Knife-smiths.

The traditional Laguiole curved design is both elegant and ergonomic, making cutting a breeze. The weight of the knife gives it perfect balance in the hand – combined with its unsurpassed sharpness, it is a true pleasure to use.

Although these table / steak knives are made from modern materials, they are still made in accordance with the tradition of the company, which goes back over 175 years. Every knife is handmade by an individual craftsman from start to finish and features the iconic bumblebee.

All traditional Forge de Laguiole knives are handmade in France.

The Laguiole knife has now become a cult object, a design reference synonymous with art de vivre and French gastronomy.
