Sheffield Cutlery, Homage To History
The history of cutlery manufacturing in Sheffield stretches back centuries. In fact, its history dates all the way back to 1297. It didn’t take long for word to spread about the quality of Sheffield’s cutlery prowess, and by the early 1800’s, Sheffield cutlery had ventured across to America and other areas of the world. During this time, the craft-work involved only continued to evolve and improve.
The fascinating historic trends and peerless quality of Sheffield cutlery is the basis for our work at Lincoln House Cutlery. Yet we do more than simply mimic history. Instead, we take traditional design and combine it with modern-day precision. It’s the best of both worlds.
Reasons Why Our Sheffield Cutlery Stands Above the Rest
At Lincoln House Cutlery, our aim is to provide our customers with a great shopping experience as well as high-quality, long-lasting products. This is why our Sheffield range is hand-crafted by expert cutlers in the Steel City, where only the highest quality is good enough. This is evidenced by the fact the cutlery is made with 18/10 stainless steel.
For the uninitiated, the 18/10 references the high amount of chromium and nickel contained within the cutlery, respectively. Due to the high level of nickel, our Sheffield cutlery is particularly resistant to rust and corrosion. It also adds sturdiness and extra shine for a high-quality finish.
Furthermore, our cutlery is dishwasher-safe – a bonus for modern-day families looking for easy maintenance for their cutlery.
