About this piece

The Butter dish knife, solid handle

Fiddle is a classically English design that has adorned dining tables for over two centuries. Its simple lines and polished finish make it an icon of British dining, equally at home at formal occasions and everyday meals.

Part of the Carrs Silver Plate collection, Fiddle is handmade to order in Sheffield, England, from Electro Plated Nickel Silver with a 20 micron pure silver coating, and is dishwasher safe. Also available in sterling silver.

The butter dish knife is a solid-handled knife for taking butter from the dish. Bought individually, it lets you complete a place setting, extend your service for more guests, or replace a piece that has gone astray.

In Fiddle, it features simple lines and the classic fiddle-shaped handle, finished in 20 micron silver plate over EPNS. Handmade to order in Sheffield and dishwasher safe for easy care.

Delivery Charges

United Kingdom & Northern Ireland – FREE delivery on orders for £50.00 or more; a £4.95 delivery charge will apply to smaller orders.

International shipping costs vary. For all international orders, shipping is charged at cost, based on order value and estimated size/weight of package. The shipping charge will be added to your order at checkout when the destination country is added. The international shipping charge does NOT cover any import duty or taxes that may be due. If any import duty or taxes are owed, it is the responsibility of the ‘receiver’ (i.e. the customer), to pay them, not the ‘sender’ (i.e. Lincoln House Ltd.). The receiver will be contacted by the relevant organisation in their own country regarding payment.

Delivery Times

An approximate timescale for despatch is given for each product. We will endeavour to inform customers of any deviation from stated times. Please note delivery timescales may vary for unforeseen reasons (e.g. national/international carriage times).

Carrs Silver

About the brand

Founded by Ron Carr in 1976, Carrs Silver is one of the UK's premier manufacturers of fine silverware — still family-run, and making every piece at its own Sheffield site.

Carrs is the only UK silverware company to fabricate silver on site — melting, casting, rolling and forming — combining metal-spinning, silversmithing and buffing with modern technology.

Many staff are second-generation Carrs craftspeople, with apprentices learning alongside them. Sterling pieces are British hallmarked; silver plate is 20 microns over EPNS.
